EW- love it

I love carrying months worth of magazines with me wherever I go.

Why Dont more Magazines Get It like EW?

Some dont allow you to get online access even though you are a print subscriber. Others dont even have a decent online version. EW rocks. Its easy to use, perfect to read on the Pad and a bonus for us print subscribers.

Broken, needs repair

Paid subscriber log-in no longer gives access to issues. EW needs to hire someone to fix the app, if they can afford to.

Just the way a Digi Mag Should Be!!

This app for EW is excellent. Page turns easy content easy to read and photos are excellent. I feel like I have the soft copy from the rack. You cant go wrong using this app if you like reading EW. I couldnt imagine going back to the plain copy from the store. Try it out you wont be disappointed.

EW

I was skeptical about the app but it is great. Easy to use, full content and convenient.

Great app!

Im always on the go! I stopped my subscription because I was never home to read the magazine. When I heard about the app, I renewed my subscription immediately and Im enjoying everything I love about EW on my own time, anywhere I go! Excellent!!

No content

Wont let me access any content. Horrible.

Great app!

I love this app, its very helpful and useful.

Wont download

Is there a bug right now? It wont download to brand new iPad

Will not let me download issues

Ever since renewing my subscription, I have been unable to get the digital copies. I have emailed and called but no luck. Very disappointing.

Piece of Shi# App

Still a piece of crap app. Had to delete and uninstall for a 3rd time so that it would recognize I already subscribed to the hard copy magazine. Thank the app is a scam to double and triple charge existing subscribers!!! Horrible!! Used to work now app cant tell that Im signed in and am a subscriber and wants to charge me for issues or just let me preview them. Very disappointed

EW Rocks!

Rocking luv this app!

Can I get a refund?

What a clunker! Stay away from this app (at least for iOS) - I cant get it to open up and the recent change from new issues being available on Thursday to Friday is also a big detractor. Better hope your postman is delivering your physical copy on time or your up to date entertainment news will be old old old by the time this works. Boo! UPDATE 4/25/15: still a massive disappointment with slow connections, new issues slow to appear. I am considering canceling and getting my entertainment fix elsewhere. UPDATE 7/4/15 still no fixes to make this app load and work smoothly.

Cannot bookmark!

I prefer the hard copy because you cannot bookmark the pages. I like to keep some articles on the side (tear, bend the page or flag it). You cant with this app. We can with books and some magazines. Why not this one?

Terrible

I subscribed but magazines still say buy for 4.99. I contacted both apple and entertainment weekly and both say the other party is responsible. I just want a refund now!!!

Keeps losing me

This app wants me to re-login and repurchase everything Ive already downloaded since I have a subscription every single time. I would think the app would know I have a subscription Ive already told that I have a subscription- it keeps wanting to know. boring. useless. The extra hassle is more irritating than wanting to use it so I dont anymore.

Really easy to use and cool app

Really great resolution and easy to use

My Guilty Pleasure

While I dont consider myself an intellectual person, I generally read science and items related to my chosen profession, Surveying, I love reading EW. I love the digital copy, as I tend to discard the issues when done with them, so not wasting paper is great. However, the app is slightly awkward sometimes. like tapping a persons face to get quote or the sidebars you need to scroll to read. Other than that, its a good, quick read for me.

Wonderful App

I am very pleased to have and to use this App. I love movies, books & music and EW is always with me.

Used to be soooo much better

Until about April of 2015, this was a really good digital magazine version. There was terrific digital bonus stuff - links to song samples and trailers, excerpts from a featured book connected to the review, and links to purchase or stream items (like tickets or videos, respectively). The fonts used throughout were very readable and consistent. And the photos were well done. But now... Now there are ZERO bonus digital features. Seriously, NONE. No links, no nothing. I even contacted their customer support and they confirmed it. That was a huge loss to take away that stuff (I added many films to my go-see list based on trailers, bought songs and albums after hearing song samples, and downloaded many books to my Kindle after getting caught up in the little teaser). Their support person offered no explanation. SO, EW, AT LEAST PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APP DESCRIPTION! Additionally, the fonts changed to be smaller and more narrow, making it difficult to read sometimes, and inconsistent thought each issue. And finally, the photos... They are photoshopped to the heavens. All women and some of the men are so long and slender they almost look like aliens (women like Melissa McCarthy - who is beautiful without that nonsense - are unrecognizable). And there is not a wrinkle or pore to be found anywhere, regardless of age. As if some people in the entertainment industry dont age backward enough as it is. I dont know what changed over there a few months ago, but it is clearly not for the better. At least their reporting and reviews are still pretty good.
